Desire/Despair

Truth shall set fire upon
One's desire thereon
For freedom
And all that's been calculated
In roadshows and carnivals
Has a mark of mistaken-ness
Like a fool's gold
Or a drifting eye
And all that is had
In reckless-ness
Is similarly a sham
Bed-ridden and damned
Make mistake without number
Trespassing in grand concern
Else all wind and thunder
Set the mind ‘gain to burn
This time in loveless heat
That of inferno
With despair complete
Hope, the far-off halo
Watch the roads for her
And her master - in truth
Chat with the doctor
Of the secret to youth
Make sure all is well
That began well
In the ward
Of fashioned desire
The source of which
Is not yours
